Those shoes must smell very fresh...
Um, yeah. I was picturing my grubby work shoes on there, and it is not quite so aesthetically pleasing.
Only my summer shoes are that cute. When they're clean. But this won't work up here in Canadian winters. Slushy footwear only works on rubber mats, not hanging on the wall. I really love this idea though, if only to contain my sandals and flipflops.
Thanks for posting shoe storage solutions, I've been looking for quite a while but, haven't found something I like. My shoes aren't pretty enough for this one to work but maybe in a narrow unused bit of closet wall? IKEA has nice looking ones but I think real wood's better. Does here anyone know of nice wooden ones?
could also try a plate rack, I don't think it should be at eye level
Great idea! Given the shape, I'm sure they sell specific items that look like this that are shoe racks. Looks like I'll be browsing IKEA and/or Chinatown for something similar.
This is perfect as I've been on the lookout for a good looking and compact solution to my fiancee's orgy of shoes. She's got several shoe piles all over our apartment and in her closet. I wish they'd multiply like the dust bunnies I used to find in my old bachelor pad.

I've seen my wife's shoes, most of them have imprints of her foot from perspering; I wouldn't want them hanging in our hallway like this.

Yes I'm not sure why the shoe racks are at eye (and nose) level. Those reacks would still look nice up off the ground mounted to the wall, but maybe just a half a foot off the floor in an entry way, closet or mud room.
Obviously a woman who lives alone. Shoes should never be displayed at nose level.
I use the Container Store's 7-bin storage tower by our apt's front door for shoes. The kids' shoes go in the bottom drawers and other shoes go in the other ones. Works pretty well although the top drawer does become a junk drawer from time to time.
I have this simular solution in my hallway but placed at the bottom in my narrow entry hall. I actually got the idea after seeing this very picture in a magazine. Works great!
