These are porcelain versions of Dart styrofoam cups. They have an appealing, classic shape, but the weight, smoothness and durability of porcelain. Unlike a lot of this type of stuff, these go beyond kitsch. You want to pick them up and use them. Designed by Miri Mizrahi (Parsons 2004), she called the series "Used and Abused" and they came in three versions: original, dented and with teeth bit mark. These are available at seven stores listed on her website.

These cups run from awful to beautiful in my mind, but then I respect that folks have totally different styles. I like the blue one, but maybe you like the gold one? Called the Alma Fortune Cups, these were designed by Redstr Collective and are a reinterpretation of Turkish coffee fortune telling. They come in three colors and then there's a limited edition, done with Tobias Wong, which is done in gold leaf (which you see here).
