Shaw's Original Fir...
It pretty much shows the process in the 2nd image. If I'll get a chalkboard wall, I'm decorating it like the guy in 500 days of summer :)
What a talent. Love it!
Why not just write on it? Or let your kids draw on it? What is a chalkboard wall for?
it looks great..
my whole idea behind getting a chalkboard wall is so that my little guy doesn't draw on other walls.. here.. he can go crazy
These examples are beautiful, but calling this service "a great solution for those of us that don't know what to do with our chalkboard walls" cracks me up. It just shows how silly people can be, following decor trends that may not work for their own lifestyles.
I agree with the person above who said it was a good enterprising idea, but seriously... this is like a satire of hipsterism.
Wow, that is CRAZY! Good for her, her work is wonderful, but WTF? Why would you pay someone to create chalk art!?! It is sooo easy to smudge or erase, it would make me crazy. Those people have too much money and not enough sense. Ugh.
Whether the reason is silly or not, her work is awesome. No Photoshop involved, just good ol' freehand. Amazing.
Nothing against this graphically gifted lady but this is TWEE GONE TOO FAR. Like a Zoolander outtake.
She probably gets most of her work from restaurants and places like that. I can't imagine many residents pay for someone to write on their chalkboard walls.
Amazing, beautiful work, Dana!
Beautiful work. I used to have fun doing the chalkboards when I part timed at Starbucks (even though it was chalkboard ink pens there).
Oh...and snarking about other people's work or homes on a comments section anywhere on the internet = try putting yourself out there, if you have the cajones.
I wasn't snarking anybody. I just don't get it. I'm struggling just to buy basics, I can't imagine paying someone to draw something fancy in chalk for me.
Ugh I wish I owned my apartment so I could do this!!! Stupid white walls!
Clearly all of the work on her site is for events and bigger clients, so good for her. She's providing a unique design service for events in a refreshing way.
