Look!: de Young Museum in San Francisco

Up close, the new de Young Museum is full of interest and detail; from far away, it reminded us of some sort of Mayan version of the Tate Modern (another of Herzog and de Meuron's buildings). We bring you these shots from our recent weekend in San Francisco, an ode to the de Young's "circle motif" that Lisa described over at AT:SF last June.
