To be exact, the stairway wall above the landing is what slowed our progress to a crawl. The wall is bedecked with photos of our friend's and her husband's lives: friends, families, vacations, graduations, weddings, babies...it's all there. There are even some of our own memories there and we were happy to linger a little and revisit them.
For years our friend has been slowly adding pictures to this wall, each in a unique frame. Her assemblage has finally reached critical mass. Climbing this stairway is also a climb through time, one that tells you you're in a Home, not just a house.
If you don't have a staircase, a long stretch of hallway (which we know many of you do have!) is another great place for a gallery of family pictures. For a twist on the framing strategy, take a gander at The Collection's flocked vinyl frames, which stick directly onto your hall wall, or Graham and Brown's fun Frames Wallpaper.
