Last week while visiting a friend near the Marina we found it very difficult to get to the second floor of her house. The stairway was to blame. To be exact, the stairway wall above the landing is what slowed our progress to a crawl. The wall is bedecked with photos of our friend's and her husband's lives: friends, families, vacations, graduations, weddings, babies...it's all there. There are even some of our own memories there and we were happy to linger a little and revisit them. For years our friend has been slowly adding pictures to this wall, each in a unique frame. Her assemblage has finally reached critical mass. Climbing this stairway is also a climb through time, one that tells you you're in a Home, not just a house. If you don't have a staircase, a long stretch of hallway (which we know many of you do have!) is another great place for a gallery of family pictures. For a twist on the framing strategy, take a gander at The Collection's flocked vinyl frames, which stick directly onto your hall wall, or Graham and Brown's fun Frames Wallpaper.
