Look! Bowl Full of Ornaments

This has been a tried and true decorating technique for us ever since living in a studio apartment. Although the size of our space has increased, it remains a great, inexpensive and simple holiday decorating idea for the low-maintenance types. Pictured here, glass bowl and gold ball ornaments from a local thrift store. Total cost: Less than $3! Below, a singular option found online:

Where did you find that bowl for less than $3 dollars?

I also do that but with a bit "more" added to it. I guess I just can't leave well enough alone...

I agree it's an economical and high impact choice. Its also just so damn easy!

TowerGirl you are so right it is so easy, my mother used to do this with big brandy snifters, I do it every year, sometimes I put fragile antique ornaments in bowls because I'm afaid to hang them on the tree, the effect is great and you can really see the detail better.

I do this too, but I place the ornaments in a way that hides the "hook" part on them.
