Savvy Bay Area shoppers will no doubt be familiar with Jeremy's, the discount department store where amazing designer markdowns are still out of reach (a Chanel sweater for $700, marked down from $1200!), and more affordable stylish brands like Anthropologie and J. Crew are actually cheap. But did you know that the Jeremy's in South Park has a new housewares section? Check out a sampling after the jump...

Evidently the San Francisco location of Jeremy's has been carrying housewares for about a month. The selection of home goods is limited, but full of good finds. The glory of Jeremy's is that despite the deep discounts, a lot of the clothes are actually pieces you want to wear, not just cast-offs and damaged goods. The same seems to apply to the housewares section.

The majority of what's in stock are Anthropologie linens, marked down to at least half of retail price. These aren't just the crazy prints nobody wanted the first time around; of course, true to Jeremy's style, you've got to spend some time combing through a messy display, but it's worth it. The bedding doesn't come in full sets, but pillow shams for accents would be a great buy. There's also some tableware—cute beaded place mats for $10 ($5 if they're slightly damaged), and Italian ceramic vases for $39.
Jeremy's is located at Two South Park in the SOMA district of San Francisco. They're open 11am-6pm Monday through Saturday, and 11am-5pm on Sunday. There's also a Berkeley store, at 1967 College—has anyone checked out the East Bay location's home goods?

The one on College Avenue in Berkeley is small. It's limited to the upstairs portion of the accessories store. It shares the space with the children's section. Same merch (Anthropologie, Urban Outfitters), but it's not as extensive as the SoMa one.
if it's the vases pictured that are $39, that's silly, because they got marked down to something like $19 at the anthro near me... not that I constantly survey their decor sale section... ahem...
I'm pretty sure that Jeremy's buys from anthro's old sale stock and the marks it up again. I've seen shirts, sweaters, pants, and skirts on the sale rack at anthro on 4th street in Berkeley and then a week later seen the same ones at Jeremy's on College for double the price.
That being said, you can get some great deals at Jeremy's---you just have to wait for Jeremy's to mark them down again. They're generally willing to go cheaper than anthro or JCrew. I got a pair of $200 Paige jeans for $10, a $500 Koi Suwannagate skirt for $35, and a $150 JCrew dress for $15, so it's possible.
oh no AT why did you give away my secret location for finding cute fabric on the cheap? well the secret is out now! once I got a dwell studio bedskirt for $2, which I've cut up for various art projects.
agree with m! that you need to wait for the markdowns for stuff to be really worth getting - otherwise sale section at anthro is just as good. btw now that jeremy's is more popular, it's harder and harder to get great deals (the days of j crew peacoats for $20 is gone, I think), so I definately don't frequent as much as I used to.
