Alongside multi-million dollar 2 bedroom Craftsman homes, single occupancy apartments that once housed musicians that opened a few
doors, and Frank Gehry designed residences are a few Venice Beach novelties worth a gander. One such architecture anomaly is located on 20 Westminster, just perpendicular of the famous Venice Boardwalk. Adorned (or "guarded by", depending upon your level of imagination) with mythical gothic and medieval statues of knights, gargoyles, dragons and a centaur, the occupants seem a bit...obsessed...but in a wonderfully eccentric way I hope they never change.

Ok, so I am in the midst of moving to Venice, and while I have yet to see this specific place, can I just say that I am getting even more excited to move! Places like this just don't fit in in Orange County....so glad to be moving!
What Gregory failed to mention is that the "Bordello de Alexandra" (or, as I like to refer to it, "Bordello of Blood") is less than half a block east of a Groundworks coffee outlet. Whenever I'm running/walking the boardwalk, I try to make sure I have time and money to stop at Groundworks for a latte and then stop by the "Bordello" to see if anything new has popped up. I love the place, it makes me smile every single time. And I think they may have ocean views from the top floor.
This building gives me hope that venise still encompesses brilliant creative artists. its whats great about america..videl
This mini palace in Venice is a great hang. I have been invited to many of the rooftop parties. The views are great and the apartments are spectacular. Everyone who's anyone can be found at the many rooftop parties. My friends own this building and their creativity is evident in this place and in all of their other properties. I'm sure they appreciate all your comments!
