Last weekend we relished the weather by heading to the Evanston farmers' market. While it's not the same size or scope of the many Chicago markets, we enjoy the slow pace and (relatively) quiet place. On the hunt for some plants and flowers for home, we spotted these gorgeous mums - but decided to wait on the purchase until next weekend when we head downstate. More market pics below:

my family and i visit the evanston farmers' market every saturday this summer, and years earlier we'd go to lincoln park or downtown for their markets. were you at the Evanston market when it was just opening or closing? because in comparison I'd say Evanston market around 9am has the largest variety and more vendors than anything in the area. this market just gets to spread out more than most the condensed sites in Chicago. give it another chance if you were looking more variety.
