Easy to make and easy to swap out. We've seen fabric headboards made from scratch on dozens of home and garden shows usually with an MDF backing, a layer of foam and then fabric stapled on top. But the beds at Napa's Carneros Inn inspire another option if you're looking to turn a pretty panel of fabric into a headboard.
The Inn's beds feature simple wood frames with rods at the top. The headboards are basically curtains. If you try this at home, you can remove and replace the fabric with the seasons. Or if your taste just changes and you're no longer loving your original fabric choice.
