Based on an artist's rendition of the Gyotaku (fish rubbing) technique, David thought he would give it a try.

Directions:

• Lay fish flat


• Use clay to prop up various parts of the fish to highlight as many details as possible


• Spread soy based, natural ink throroughly on exposed side of fish


• Place rice paper or other lightweight paper over the fish and rub it with hands to try to pick up all the markings of the fish


• Carefully remove paper
