Look! Flat Screen Amongst a Gaggle of Curiosities

Phil works with BackGarage blogger Katherine Raz at her day job as the marketing director for a Chicago theater company. When he discovered her side project he began obsessively keeping track of Katherine's Craigslist Roundups. He ended up furnishing a large portion of his new apartment with furniture he scored through her roundups.

Katherine recently posted photos from Phil's cush pad and we stepped back when we saw his TV set-up. His flat screen is set on a shelf within a floor to ceiling bookcase attached to the wall. When Katherine asked if he's afraid they'll come crashing down in the middle of the night, he interrupted her with, "Constant fear."

While we would be pretty freaked out to, we do love how it all just fits together. The TV becomes less of the focal point, and more of a beautiful work of art displayed on a shelf amongst all unique curiosities.

We love the vintage feel the TV instantly gets through the "lounge" light and old school stereo equipment below. A perfect pairing of old and new that looks loved and lived in, but still state of the art.

Thanks BackGarage!
