Way to recycle! Garagemonkeysan at Instructables saw a need—in their case, they needed something to organize their bills—and filled it with unused household castaways. The best part? He used floppy disks, making the outcome of his DIY project look supremely techie. If you have a lot of floppys at home, we think this could look even better if made with monotone colors...

The design is pretty simple. You just need floppies, hot glue and a square ruler to keep it all straight.

We don't think it would hold up to carrying much more than paper, pens and stamps, but it's a really cool idea for recycling something you might have in your home.

For this month, whenever you have an epiphany that you need something to sort your bills or rack your shoes or organize your cables, why not look around the house—the best stuff is always hiding in the basement or the very back corners of the closet—and find something else that you already have and that could work just as well after a little DIY attention?
