When turned on it's side, this piece could hold papers or even tshirts, but knowing how strong cardboard could be, we wanted to test out an idea... sitting on it.
So we placed a piece of thin birch ply we've had hanging around from making our hanging wooden walls, awhile back, on top. We figured if the structure slid or collapsed it was only a 14" fall to the floor, but none the less we were relieved to find ourselves quite stable!
Quite proud of our discovery we invited the dogs up to play some tug of war and a few more people to sit on it as well. It held up to all that and didn't flinch at the movement or the addition of more weight. We had originally planned on dragging it home, photographing it and asking all of you what you would do with it (and then promptly tossing it back in the trash), but now we think we're going to keep it folded up and tucked behind a shelf.
It will make a great thing to pull out at parties for extra seating or even a low lying buffet or makeshift table if needs be. Best of all, it will only take up a few inches of space once we slide it behind our storage shelves! So keep your eyes on the trash, you never know what you'll find!

LOVE it. I always wanted the super expensive fancy cardboard easy chair from Moss. Not this one , but same basic idea: http://www.mossonline.com/product-exec/product_id/32026 Trash picking is the best.
Ahhh yes! Fantastic!
You could even use the slots for filing papers. Brilliant.
reminds me of an assignment i had while attending a summer camp at USC, make a chair that will hold a person out of a 4'x6' piece of cardboard (mine crashed down, but a few were awesome)...
I'm confused -
Seating for 8 what - 8 Dogs?
Great conversationalist item!
Cute dog! I wonder what the cardboard thing was originally used to pack --
