We came across some blinds at a friend's house the other day, and were delighted that they weren't of the metal or plastic variety. Even more surprising to us was the price it cost to outfit the room (not much) and where this great deal was found (most surprising of all). More after the jump!
We've always got our eyes peeled for great deals on window treatments for homes, which can sometimes run pretty high. And while blinds and shades aren't always the most attractive, they are quite functional. We loved our friend's choice of a honeycomb shade in a simple off-white. Where did she find this deal? On blinds.com! We had visited this website before, but frankly hadn't been convinced of its trustworthiness (maybe it was the red, white and blue colors or maybe even still the chosen graphic scheme). Whatever the case, it was comforting to see someone use the site and get a quality but affordable product. The website seems to offer a pretty large variety of shapes, colors and sizes of window treatments, which could be a great resource if you're looking for something special.

How much did it cost?
My parents had those honeycomb blinds installed all over our previous home and they worked great for what we needed. I've never tried blinds.com before though.
I have used them on something rather lo key and I was very happy. After you order the send you an offer for a deal on your next order so if you were doing a large order, do a small order then when you get the discount put the larger order in.
I checked the site - They don't seem affordable to me!
Our landlord recently installed 4 sets of these triple celled (custom size) shades for two long windows we have facing the north and south sides of our studio but I'm not really sure how much she paid for them.
They are a very practical window treatment since they aren't ugly and they also keep the heat out. The side of the blind that faces inward is off white and the side that faces outward is white.
I have purchased from Blinds dot com and Blinds Chalet dot com. Both are very reasonable and offer great products. One thing I liked about Blinds Chalet is that they have a price match guarantee. So I simply go to amazon and find the cheapest window shade and then get them to price match it. You can find there window shades here
