We love colorful ceramic pots, but they can get expensive. Our old standby terra cotta, on the other hand, is cheap but can start to feel a little boring. The next time we want to add some color to our planters, we'll take a cue from this painted pot we spotted in a friend's home recently.
All you need is regular acrylic paint, although we have a feeling that latex might work just as well. We love the way these simple stripes look around the rim, but you could obviously get as fancy as you want. Regardless of design, this activity promises to be cheap, fast, and easy - exactly the way we like our craft projects.
