Greetings to Holly in Yorkville, who sent in her newly repainted bathroom for a Look! feature. While Holly's taste may be a bit too *strong* for some, we urge you to pay attention to her can-do attitude and the growing desire we're seeing all over for stronger, more saturated colors. We guarantee, that if Martha Stewart is worth her salt, she'll soon be showing off some stronger colors in place of her soft, late 90's off-whites. (Thanks, Holly!) Greetings! The total repaint of my apartment started in the bathroom and began with a piece of privacy film...

...applied to this air-shaft window. I liked it so much...

I applied the rest to this window and removed the shutters that were here and added these two shelves & plants.

The ceiling is BM 1367 primrose petals; the wall is BM 338 early dawn with a wash of white...

cabinet, shelves and tub in accent color (BM 1371 plum perfect.)

Ceiling too high to make a perfect line, so I dropped the color and added the stripe! Also painted the edge of the yellow shelf plum.

Baskets make great storage.

I love to bathe by candlelight!

The star collection all came from local thrifts. The row of stars under the shelf -- 8 Jello molds I sprayed gold (total cost: $1.50). Finding treasures on the cheap is part of the fun and pleasure. Most of the things here were from the street boutique (found) or from a thrift. My bathroom is light and bright and makes me happy day and night. It's a joy. Holly in Yorkville Go To All Look! Posts
