On a recent trip to IKEA Brookyln, we couldn't help but notice the retailer's devotion to the new TRIVSAM line of dinnerware — it was everywhere! A more rustic style of bowls, plates and mugs for the Swedish retailer, the inexpensiveTRIVSAM stoneware is available with a dark green or mustardy yellow glaze — both colors would work well for a holiday feast...

TRIVSAM is dishwasher and microwave safe and really inexpensive! Two sizes of plates, 2 sizes of bowls, coffee mugs, espresso cups, a serving bowl and platter are all available with prices ranging from $2.99 (espresso cup and saucer) to $12.99 (serving platter), at IKEA.

I JUST bought the green serving platter yesterday! It seemed like a cheap option (without looking cheap) for a Thanksgiving turkey when I realized I had nothing appropriate (and it would take me far to long to find something more expensive and more perfect). Very useful size and shape for future meals too...
ps. I just wish IKEA had more large serving dishes and bowls...
After making putting together all the pieces for 4 placesettings - Cup & Saucer, Soup Plate, Salad Plate and Dinner Plate - It's really not all that inexpensive...
...there are more interesting and attractive dinnerware sets at Target and elsewhere for far less.
More mass produced junk from China. Be still my heart.
those colors are just too 70's for me.
Gross. They look like different shades of baby poop. Why on earth do people consider these colors to be "festive"?
Hm, I didn't notice these anywhere when I was at Ikea just a few days ago. Maybe my eye just passed over them because I don't like them.
It is nice that they're microwavable though.
They remind me of my Fiestaware, which I love. These are nice, as long as those particular colors work for you.
