We attended another Oakland house show this past weekend and were once again pleasantly surprised with an awesome and inspiring decor idea to share. Check out this clever installation of vintage typewriters in the house's front window. Color us impressed.

We didn't get to check out the entire house (the show was in the basement and the rest of the house, besides the backyward, was off limits), but house resident Lisa and her roommates are possibly open to a future house tour. Keep your fingers crossed!

Neat! I would love to see a house tour...
love this.
that house is down the street from me. im on the emervville/oakland border, and i thought that house was definitely on the emeryville side? next to the bakery lofts. cute, i've always wondered if that house was formerly a store front.
Interesting, but my first though was (for a residence) "what a waste of a great window". (Me, I like light!)
SherryBinNH: that particular window isn't for the actual house, but the basement, which is at first floor level. The house they live in is upstairs and the windows aren't blocked out.
Sanriofreak: You're right. It's Emeryville.
