At last weekends Melbourne Design Market, the stand for KeepCup was buzzing. With their tables stacked high with reusable coffee cups in a small number of different colour combos and sizes - we couldn't wait to test them out. We were impressed with how much thought had gone into designing this cup, see more below the jump...

The KeepCup is the only reusable coffee cup we've come across that is the same size as a disposable cup. Initially we were concerned that its lack of insulation would result in the contents turning cold ahead of consumption - after rigorous testing we are both shocked and stunned to report that coffee stays not warm, but hot in this cup for up to half and hour. The cup has a silicone band with a variety of coffee options for you to highlight your preferences so their is never any confusion with your order. Their website also has this fun calculator to help you work out how using the KeepCup will reduce your impact on the environment. The only problem we've had with it is that when there is hot coffee in the cup, the silicon band expands and can slide down the cup. Other than that this is a great product and we'll definitely be buying a couple more for those at the office. KeepCup are priced between AU$10.20 and AU$14.20 and offer international postage, more info at their website.
