Yesterday we brought you a crafty furniture business built out of the used parts of an activity Austin residents enjoy that we saw at the Maker Faire. Also spotted at the Maker Faire was the crafty embodiment of another Austin love...

These soft and fuzzy versions of the musical instrument are Guitar City Knits, the brain child of Sarah Stollak, a crafter with over ten years in knitting experience. Created mostly for fun, these knitted guitars could easily be added to a music-lover's art collection as wall decor or a tablescape---without having to invest in the real things! We love the possibility of getting to choose your own color combinations, too. We think a neat and very modern wall composition could even be made with a series of these soft guitars all in a monocramatic color scheme! And being that the knitter is also in a band, we know these craftier versions would be accurately depicted!

What do you think about these knitted guitars? Silly or a hip way to add texture to a space? Let us know!
