But don't they defeat the purpose of a drain? Some of their openings are way too large. So long peas and beans and cereal! These drains won't keep me smiling as I call the plumber :)

It's really pretty, I agree, but at $100, it seems like there's got to be another more, um, affordable way to introduce beauty to the kitchen sink. A 10% (of that price) solution, please!

This is a ridiculous product. It completely defeats the purpose of a drain strainer so I'll keep that $100 in my pocket and settle for our basic mesh one that actually catches everything.

This is stupid. If food can slip right through the strainer, what's the point? Although it may have potential as a mold for pasta/gnocchi.

it's pretty but tiny. 2 3/4 inch diameter. my kitchen sink is 3 1/2 inch diameter.

Pretty, but useless and overpriced. I really don't understand why anyone would buy this unless they enjoy having frequent visits from their plumber.

Yes. It WAS on AT last year. And it was pretty, too expensive, and pointless then too.
