Look! LA's Most Colorful Corner

Look! LA's Most Colorful Corner

In a city where building styles can often collide, we love the unity of this corner of Harper and Melrose. Accidental or intentional, we're not sure, but these three corner buildings make a colorful triptych, an especialy cheery sight during a morning drive. On the southwest corner, the blue Maxfield Bleu clothing store echoes the color of the main building of the Pacific Design Center a few blocks further west on Melrose.

Across the street, on the northwest corner, Hays House Wicker's yellow storefront invites us to come in and browse its selection of antique wicker furniture and knickknacks; on the northeast corner, Paul Smith's bright pink building alerts us to the British clothing designer's sense of humor.
