We're loving this billboard we just saw over at Yanko. It's part of a larger ad campaign designed by CalArts Design Team, aimed at raising awareness in Los Angeles around issues of water consumption as it relates to landscaping. According to the team, 60% of urban water consumption goes toward landscaping...
What we love about the campaign (see more of it here) is that, instead of emphasizing restriction and conservation, it emphasizes the beauty of native plants. The campaign makes the case that designing an unthirsty yard around natives is in fact far more beautiful than the average lawn.
And we couldn't agree more!
