We took a picture of the Luisa side table, at the Smallest Coolest Apartment wrap-party, and were struck by how great this would be in a nursery or children's room.

Much of the hesitation in spending a lot of money in children’s furniture is that it will only be used for a short amount of time. What's special about the Luisa table is that it's definitely a piece a girl could grow up with; this table can easily look right at home in a teenager's room or a toddler's room.
Designed by Stine Gam-Pedersen and Enrico Fratesi, this pretty table has a flower-patterned felt strip in between two layers of acrylic. The effect is modern, yet delicate and feminine. With years of potential usage for the buyer, at $278, the Luisa side table seems like a good buy.

As long as you don't mind the scratches on the expensive furniture ;-)
Well, you'll probably end up with scratches on expensive and inexpensive furniture, so what can you do but enjoy it while it lasts? ;)
It hurts less when it is cheap, no?
True, so true!
