We stopped in our local Ace Harware this weekend to pick up a few things and spotted these babies on the back an endcap. Having passed on many a piece of Mid Century furniture due to some bad legs, this made our day (it doesn't take much does it?). Click through the jump to see the ridiculously manageable price range for all 5 sizes of legs.

There were 5 different sizes of legs offered. So no matter if you need to replace a leg on a footstool or a dining room table, you'll be in business. Prices ranged from $2.49-$6.99
Remember if the ACE near you doesn't have what you need, most can order things in for you. Since the majority are independently owned, the stock will vary by store.

Hey, did anyone happen to notice the manufacturer's and product names so that those of not in the same city (or state) could google and perhaps order online?

Pretty easy to find guys. Just go to their website, type in "leg" and it is the 4th thing that comes up.

4,6,8,12,16,22, and 28 inches are the different sizes if you don't feel like clicking. 2.99-8.49 and they ship to any store for free.

I wonder if they sell the slightly angled bracket that these screw into?

i wish hairpin legs were cheaper, i love 'em!

Home Depot and Lowe's often stock these as well. Maybe not the really tall ones, but I know I've seen the short/medium ones there.

eribear12, I've gotten some hairpin legs on ebay. If you're patient, you can find some good deals.

second alisong - I got a set of 4 hairpin legs for $24 on ebay, additional $15 shipping, so about $40 total - cheaper than ikea table legs!

These have been a staple in most hardware stores for the last 30 or 40 years.

Wish I'd thought of this before I had to pay Crate and Barrel over $50/leg to replace my Petrie sofa's legs that my movers lost. Nothing I found at Lowe's/HD/anywhere online came anywhere close.

FYI - these are good, but a little wobbly for anything load bearing. I used them for a coffee table and its fine. When I put my feet up the whole table wobbles a lot. I certainly wouldn't use them for a chair or a heavy piece of furniture.

i guess once you have watched the stuff go out of fashion you are rather immune ... this rave for what you call midcentury modern really is baffling me :-D (okay, it does prove my age, that is true :-P )

Ya'll just rocked my socks off! I found the greatest little piece at Goodwill, but someone replaced the original legs with unfinished pine balls. :( I didn't think I would be able to replace them exactly, but this is wonderful!
