In the vein of an old-fashioned book strap, we love this very no-frills design for holding big mail, such as rolled-up newspapers and magazines.

The thick rubber loop is given shape by a metal crosspiece, and the whole thing is small enough that we'd probably put the whole thing away when it's not being used, rather than letting it flop against a wall.
