We haven't quite decided how we feel about this home's exterior striped appearance. It's certainly modern and eye-catching. The golden tones aren't painted on but are a part of the home's exterior material itself. Covering the fronts and sides of the house and echoed in the shape and pattern of the windows, this home doesn't exactly blend quietly into the neighborhood. It reminds us of another home in Austin we've seen in that respect. We know one thing: the clean lines and simple layout of this house are spiced up with these yellows and golds!

I love the lines and could steal this idea for my house. I would just use a more muted color for the exterior- like a light grey or smokey blue. I'm not a big fan of the yellow.
I like this concept. I think a more pared down color would work better and not look outdated as quickly as this bright yellow will.

This is fabulous. It would look like crap on our house, but works really well here.
I like it -- I'd like it more if someone said that they did it that way because they were recycling siding, or something like that, but I like it as it is.
Also, I like the bright yellow -- and yellow isn't one of my favorite colors. But that house, with the smallish windows (especially on the side) would look awful if it was painted a dark color. As it is, with the different yellows and widths, it breaks up the large windowless spaces very well.

I absolutely love it. Though I agree with tjsmf - I'm not as bold and probably would have chosen more subtle blue tones. But this is still brilliant.
