Ever since we came across this idea for decorating with books, we've been hunting and scheming for a good way to display a few covers from some of our vintage paperbacks -- all of which were acquired at an awesome thrift store in Ventura, Ca.
Finally, after a few false starts, we were browsing in an Oakland bookstore and saw their solution to our problem: a simple frame, meant to display three photographs.
So, on our next trip to IKEA, we grabbed a suitable frame. Then, we carefully removed the covers from three of our brightest John D. MacDonald paperbacks, framed 'em, and set it on our plate ledge.
Is it the greenest thing we've done this month? No, but we're happy with the results and just thought we'd share!
