We hope we don't have to tell you that technology can be a beautiful and inspiring thing. It's amazing what we're able to accomplish in our everyday lives, like instantly calling a friend across the country or vacuuming a room, that is made a whole heck of a lot easier by some wires and electricity. This moving treadmill in this video is not one of those things.

With this contraption, called the SpeedFit, your fake running gets translated to real movement. Kind of like actually jogging, except it's expensive, heavy and impossible to turn corners.

We're not trying to knock treadmills. A stationary treadmill in a gym is our weapon of choice before actually getting outside and running, but we think that if you want to be outdoors and moving forward as you run, there's nothing better than the analog version—your feet.
