Sure, bicycling is a fun and earth-friendly way to get around. But if you have to store your bike inside your apartment for one reason another, they can begin to take over your place if your home is challenged in the size department. We've got a product that will not only help you organize all your rides, but would also make a great gift idea...
While not a brand new product, the Cycloc Bicycle Storage is so darn cool it deserves another mention. Instead of bulky or unattractive bike racks, this handy device attaches to a wall and allows for both vertical or horizontal bike storage. It's even got a little cubby space for bike accessories. And, it can even be locked. Why, it could even be called eco-friendly due to its 100% post industrial plastic material. Available in four colors and priced at $135, this product is both a great deal for you or a bike-loving friend.

White Enamel Four-P...
hey - check it out, it's on sale at dwr.
That is way overpriced for a wall stand ... let alone a plastic bucket. The design is however genius ... but for 135 ... you can buy many better solutions. or two for one ect.
I have an orange one for sale - only slightly used!

Might be great if you only have one bike. My friends with 4-7 bikes without a garage use a heavy duty garment rack the one for wedding gowns and use large hooks to hang the bikes on the rack.
that style of bike rack only works if you have a bike with a top horizontal bar ("boys" bike, I know not only boys ride them) However, my bike is a "girls" bike... any helpful ideas?
racks that will store far more bikes are available for far less money. this one gets a lot of airtime since its the only dwr-approved bike rack. this is one area where practicality weighs in over style.
fjorlief- What about vertical? There is a picture of a bike hanging vertical.
fjorlief you hang from the seat tube and the top tube.
Here are some other options, Performance Bike Shop has a good selection for less money-

'... and priced at $135, this product is both a great deal for you or a bike-loving friend.'
helluva friend if you're going to spend that much money on them, i say.
i just bought a (not dwr-approved) bike rack for $2 on clearance at target.
more plastic for landfill? recycle? never degrades, may not be recycled. it's cute, and functional, but I long for a plastic-free world.

If the only place I could store my bike was in my apartment I would definitely consider this because it looks so good. Its nice and small if you have to move too
I can hang at least two bikes totally out of the way on my $20 ceiling-mounted bike lift from bike nashbar.

The price is totally outrageous. I don't make that much money! Plus, we have 10 bikes so....$1000 to store bikes that we built for way less seems awfully silly. It's a shame though because they are really cool and super convenient for apartments.
I like this bike storage solution.

Am I the only renter who won't get their bond back if I start screwing things into the walls?! Looks like I'll just have to keep tripping over my bikes until I own my own place!
as much as i would like one, $135 is just redonk.
What about the 'Gladiator Claw' that was a finalist on American Inventor...I believe its just gone into production.
just a re-post ... (I just can't get over the price) delta makes a very nice two bike or one bike and two hook ... ect stand that leans against the wall ... it takes up very little space and will accommodate mixte (feminine) frames as well. http://www.deltacycle.com/product.php?g=52 and retails for 79.99 - 84.99 ... no holes required =).
also... I currently have 5 bikes in my apartment and use this rack in conjunction with two sets of ceiling hooks which i added some custom bent aluminum arms to hoist two of the other 3 on premise.
Yes, the apartment in the top photo would look so much more attractive with all FIVE bicycles mounted on the wall... :-/
don't worry...if enough people like this bike mount thing, someone in china will copy and sell it for way less money. just wait for it to reach critical mass. what, the plastic needed costs like two cents? i can see this retail for ten bucks.
$135? that thing better jump off the wall and do some dishes for that price.
I love my bikes, but they hang off a $2 rubber covered hook i grabbed at the hardware store.
And you know what? they have never complained.
Saw this item in a museum boutique in Montreal. It's perfect but expensive! Especially to hold a single bike..
How about this velcro solution for under $10? It's working perfectly in my place and I didn't need to make any holes!
