She could have just hung a fabric panel over the unwanted devices to conceal their location. However, she added an inexpensive light source behind her fabric panel and chose fabric with a lot of texture, like ruffles (in this case, a ruffled shower curtain). In this way she added not just a concealing device, she created a lighted sculpture! The shower curtain she used is from India Rose, but you could easily use any textured fabric panel to create this same sort of effect. Or, you could even make your own ruffled panel using fabric scraps to create a functional art piece for your own space!

i like the curtain- good idea! it would be kind of cool in front of a big vent- far enough away to not inhibit airflow, but close enough to conceal the vent and maybe even wave in the breeze

Are we talking about covering up the little box that you use to change the temperature? I mean the solution is really lovely, but are we doing this now?

EP, I was wondering the same thing! I once "hid" my little box by using already-existing holes in that wall and hanging a whole bunch of old pictures and paintings to make an eclectic display, and everyone loved it and probably never even noticed the little control box.
Didn't AT do a post on some lighted window shade to simulate a window where there wasn't one? I think this idea is a lot cuter than that one.
Yeah...I'm with you two - this seems ridiculous. Plus, I think it draws WAY more attention to the corner than that teeny little inconspicuous box.
My first instinct is to ask, "What's behind that curtain?"
I agree with mcb...the fabric doesn't go to the floor and the gap is so large that everyone is just going to poke around it.
Plus, something tells me you can see that lamp through the curtain.
I once had that control unit on the wall you saw when you first entered my place. My solution was to get those cube shadow box things and place one around the box and then use the object in the box to cover the control unit.
LOL. I'm wondering if I can use those curtains in my bedroom. Gorgeous.
I'm with others on this one... hanging a drape that size away from that box doesn't seem to be helping the aesthetic of the space.
I get it.. Hide the box. I just think there are much better ways of accomplishing this.

Perhaps this would work to hide a portable closet/garment rack? I'm getting ready to move into a room with no closet & am dyyying for ideas.
