We've brought you some great highlights from Austin's Maker Faire this week, like furniture made out of old bike parts, knitted guitars and quilted mosaics. Well we'd like to end the week with one last look at a Maker's Faire craft, this time one that could have far-reaching possibilities...

The company Shopbot Tools manufactures and sells CNC routers for all your wood cutting needs. They've also come up with an innovative way to build, creating houses and structures that can be put together using only a rubber mallet to knock into place pre-cut wood pieces. Without nails, glue and screws, their designs can be put together quickly and affordably and could be used in such noble applications as helping provide temporary shelter for places hit with natural disasters. These structures could also be used for simpler means, such as backyard storage sheds, greenhouses, workshops or playhouses.

What do you think about this quick and easy way to build structures? Let us know!
