One of our favorite parts of moving is organizing a new kitchen. Ours still has a long way to go, but we're glad we could reuse the shelf organizers from our old apartment in the new space. In fact, our new kitchen has the same standard cabinets that we left behind. Although the cabinets are outdated, we don't really mind them and we've been able to fit everything with a little space to spare...

We have a beautiful built-in hutch with a mirrored back that faces our kitchen cabinets. We're still figuring out how to make the most of the built-in shelves.

These cabinet organizers are around just $5 - $10 at the Container Store and they create a lot more shelf space for plates and bowls.

Most of our cooking supplies fit in here. We'll be hanging pots and pans once we get a rack, but our food processor, mixing bowls, and everything else goes here. This shelf still needs a little work.

These skinny cabinets on the side of the sink are just the right size for bigger things like our soup pot and salad spinner.

`Sarah, best wishes for a happy life in your new place.
The dishes look happy already with all that room!
Ah - I have that exact same colander. And my mom collects teacups and dishes in that Blue Willow pattern...
If you keep pots and such in your cabinets, where do you keep food?
Those are the same cabinets that gave me hives in my old apartment; I hated them so much that I ripped them out and replaced the entire kitchen.
This is great inspiration and motivation! My mother's out of town for her annual vacation to Taiwan and my siblings and I have decided to clean out and reorganize all her kitchen cabinets. Thank you!
isk, we have a pantry for food, but that's not quite as organized so no photos yet :)
i must know where you got your recipe card box! or if anybody has good suggestions for others that are neat. i have all these 4x6 recipes that are held together by a rubber band. not very organized either!
TNstyliegal, we got our recipe card box at GoodWill a long time ago.
