So we're not Picasso or anything, but we were pretty proud of the — ahem — installation artwork piece we executed on our fridge after a massive kitchen deep-clean and fridge magnet purge.

We used those tiny yet uber-strong Japanese magnets, along with colorful magnet strips sold at the MoMa store a few years back, to create our masterpiece. We like this way better than the scraps that were on our fridge before.

We're going to reserve the bottom half of our fridge for fun like this from now on, though we might add pictures of friends and family to the top of the "drips." We'll let the top accumulate a few notes.

oh how I wish my mum would do a magnet purge we replaced our fridge and I thought she would tone it down but only got rid of the papers pinned to the fridge not the magnets! :(
Um, you keep the litterbox next to the fridge? Eww :/.
Totoro! I love Totoro!
Congrats on turning your fridge into your easel! I too have a passion for incorporating art into my everyday life. We all spend so much time at the fridge during the day... why not make it a center for creative expression as well? I started making fridge art out of cut up magnets, now I've made a great kit that does the job perfectly.
