Our entrance hallway is 8'x3.5' and has two doors and one opening. It's too small to put a console table or a coat rack (or anything, really), so instead we opted to just paint a bright patch of glossy sky blue (no windows in our hallway, so the glossy paint helps reflect light) on the portion of the wall that's framed by ornate moulding, and place three small pieces of art from a local artist. The art is all on center (you can't tell by the awkward shot. It's very difficult to take a photo of a hallway!), and on the opposite wall is the door to our bathroom.

The first and last in the set of three have the same wood background, and the middle one is black.
The color scheme goes well with the rest of the bright colors (mixed with black and white) we have throughout the apartment.
We know that in the photographs the scale looks a bit off, but when you're in our space you realize that anything larger would be overbearing! It's a very tiny hallway.
All pieces are by Deth P. Sun.
