We attended a birthday party for 2yr old Allie over the weekend. Her pig tails bounced as she opened presents and even managed to get her bare feet in the cake! We had a fabulous time and instantly fell in love with the handmade sign her mother made for the tree out back! Details and a close up after the jump!
Each letter was cut from coordinating pieces of heavy paper and glued together. They were then tacked up on the tree in their backyard (which was just above the present table) where the party was held.
It set the mood for the party and made all the other aspects of the event tie together. From table decorations and centerpieces to napkin colors and paper lanterns, this one idea brought all the others together. We think it's a great idea for anyone hosting a backyard throw down, or even a get together at a local park (plus they held up great in the breeze!).

Cute!
I made a birthday banner "happy birthday" out of fabric. This is such a cute idea using simple shapes. I would make this one out of fabric too!
