You might remember that we met Owyn and his family while thrift store shopping a couple of weeks ago. Owyn's dad, Jeremy, sent us an update on the child-sized chair they bought at Jubilee. Jeremy wrote us:
"We finally decided how to incorporate that little chair into our sun room. I thought I would send you a picture for reference. He loves it!"

We asked Jeremy about that amazing rug, too, and he answered: "That rug is Danish, 1972. Picked up on the cheap from Edgewater Antique, only $180."
Thanks, Jeremy, for keeping us posted on Owyn and his new chair!

Owyn is so cute. I really love the rug also.
I really appreciate the decision to choose well designed kids' furnishings, rather than opting for the default Fisher Price plastic chairs and tables (not knocking them -- they have their place in a colorful playroom or bedroom for sure!). Bravo for incorporating your child's needs into the whole gestalt.
Great table and chair.
no offense but why the weird spelling on the kids name?
Maybe I'm out of touch. Truth be told there is probably an entire generation of kids who will have no concept of "the common spelling" so maybe these alphabet scramble names will have no impact on the little buggers.
12 years from now there will a million conversations like the following.
"Pleased to meet you. My name is Jane."
"The pleasure is mine. Is that Jane with P?"
lol at chickchick.
owen argh OWYN sorry -- is just too cute for words!
clickchick not chickchick
well, we went with Owyn, because that spelling is used most often in Wales, where my family is from. Hope that helps "clykchyk".
So cute. And would that be a rugby shirt in the first pic?
Eddi,
Again, I meant no offense... it's just something I don't grasp.
I love that your choice is a traditional spelling (that I just didn't know about!)
My name is one of those terribly simple/ boring ones that end in Y and it always irritated me (still does) when people insist on spelling it with an I or IE. So I just feel for all the little KayeLUH's and Maeiysun's out there that have to deal with the confusion later in life!
My friend Bob has announced he's tempted to change his spelling to Boughb. He's joking of course -
