It could be really great in some rooms.
Painted furniture doesn't always have to equal Kute Kuntry Kraft.
There's nothing wrong with painted wood furniture. If you don't like these fruity colors, you could also go with a neutral shade like gray, black, cream, beige, khaki...etc. I couldn't believe how much this company was charging though. I prefer to spend the money on items that are special in design or have some character to them. These were pretty standard wooden chairs you can find anywhere. The only thing unusual was the variety of colors. No way would I pay $290/each for a pretty typical wooden chair. Thrift stores are a good place to look for wooden chairs--paint them whatever color you like.
This is an especially "fruity" combination of colors, we admit, but Maine Cottage furniture is not just painted maple furniture, it's also painted rattan (wicker) and upholstered furniture - both priced well with 40 color choices and over 200 fabrics. If painted wood is not for you, then we invite you to consider our fabrics and upholstered furniture.
