We've been hunting high and low for a painting by LA-based painter R. Kenton Nelson, and it's been more difficult than we imagined. But really, we should have known better: his work has been in the background of some extremely popular romantic comedies (Something's Gotta Give, The Holiday), and he's got quite the celebrity clientele (Diane Keaton, Steve Martin, Brian Grazer).
After showing a few of these paintings to a friend, she remarked, "Wow, it's like lonely Americana, but in better colors! Now where do you keep your snacks?" Art commentary aside, these paintings are gorgeous. And we'd like to see one of these hanging over our mantel.

They're like de Lempickas, but even more refined.
absolutely mesmerizing.
Art is in the eye of the beholder, for my eye R. Kenton Nelson has nothing on Tamara De Lempicka....
A cheap alternative to buying big name original canvas, is the much cheaper copies found all over SE Asia on your next holiday.
Thanks for presenting these inspiring paintings! And I do see the connection to De Lempicka!
I am in the same boat, I would love to buy some of his work. Maybe several, I would settle for a reproduction if the quality was as good. I am going to check out De Lempicka. Are they more available for purchase?
