Peacock images have lately saturated the world of interiors, textiles, and fashion. The repetition of colors and patterns of peacock-inspired design is natural and dramatic all at the same time (we love it!). While in Austin last weekend, we visited a bar called
The Peacock for the second time.
Last year, we went on a quiet night and really noticed every detail: the dark turquoise walls, white trim, crystal chandeliers, real peacock feathers, and especially the white vinyl chairs with peacock images printed on the backs.

During this visit, the bar was packed, it was harder to notice the details, but the decor hadn't changed a bit. Like most of our favorite bars, this one felt like entering a well-designed yet comfortable living room.

great images! reminds me a bit of Maison 140's lounge area, except in prussian blue and white. love the accent of the lemon tree, too...!
I love the color of the walls....any know of BM color that would match?
what a fabulous space!! who knew austin had so much to offer :) that said, i do love peacocks and a lil bit of luxury so this is just up my alley.
Weird how the photos make it look nicer than I remember. I think it's just not my taste. I like their outdoor space, but it was unfortunately clogged with smokers. ick.
