Ok, we know this lamp is pretty low-tech (what it can't be programmed by your iPhone?) but it totally reminds us of the Apple Mac Pro. The bent expanded metal mimics the grated front of the Apple tower, though not as much during daylight hours...
The non-dipped in plastic versions look more like a Mac Pro during the day.
