Suckered (or inspired?) by the packaging. You've seen the pomegranate juice in its hourglass-shaped bottle. This is the tea version of that, in what POM's website calls a "keepsake glass." We were decidedly taken in by the urge to repurpose it.
The tall tumbler that sits nicely in the hand and evokes juleps and grandmothers and hot days.
We tried it out as a pencil holder, a vase and a kitchen-themed votive holder (top, with lentils).
Our efforts almost made choking down the bitter drink worth it (sorry, but bleh).

I have a set of 6!!! :)
we're using one for candles in our kitchen (and are pleased to report that we've also replaced that ugly place mat, too!)

they also make great planters for my baby spider plants!
See, I loved the juice/tea, and so I ended up with quite a few before I convinced myself that no matter how tastey I thought it was, 12 was enough glasses, and I simply wasn't going to throw out other glasses. So I have stopped buying it.
I loved the indistructablness of the tumblers, and that the logo was rather discreet.
I use them mostly for day-to-day use, but they pinch hit for vases often. I like the pencil holder idea!
I also loved them and after about 15 decided to stop buying them because I didn't want anymore glasses and I wasn't going to throw them out! LOL
I love the tea light and vase idea, I guess because they are in my glass cupboard I never thought about using them for something else. I love it.
Looks like the candles for the Saints one finds in Hispanic grocery stores, etc.
these are what i use for glasses in my home! thats it!
the older design is cuter in my opinion, instead of the logo being clear in the glass its colored.
We have 12! We use them as...juice glasses!
I agree with BLUETOES...the first designs with the colored logos are much better!
I tend to do this, but recycle when I start thinking I look like I'm hoarding glass.
On a side note, I bought the tea w/bergamot and citrus from Trader Joe's and also thought sorry, but bleh when choking down the bitter drink--and I like Earl Grey....
I make granola in large batches and store them in the POM glasses with the lids. It's great for my husband who then just grabs one on his way out in the morning. I also have one on my table caddy, full of chopsticks.
what a fab idea!! Love it. I'm going to start saving mine now.
i just bought some more of this stuff last night because I wanted to add to my set of juice glasses!
Personally, I think the POM blackberry-pomegranate tea is really good, and they have a hibiscus flavor that's nice too -- and I generally hate tea. And the glasses really are a great size for general kitchen use. The only problem for me is that I think the ones I have stored at my parents' house are the old colored logo ones, but I have a set of new raised logo ones in my kitchen right now. I hope I have at least an even number of the old ones or my OCD will go crazy...
