We love getting out extra blankets for fall. We always leave a few in the living room for the season's chills, and we've found it's a way to warm up the room even when you aren't all snuggled up. The extra fabric just makes the space feel more cozy and inviting...
This is our "warmed up" living room from last fall (second picture in), along with a few other blanket-bestowed living rooms. How do you dress your rooms for the cooler weather? Are there any extra blankets you just can't wait to bring out of storage?

i want one but i'm not in canada! any ideas?
mmm... blankets.
I'm at the point of having too many to find a place for :)
I have two throws I adore. One is orange tartan and one is pink stripes. I don't know why, but they look fantastic together.
Two years ago my mother-in-law bought me a beautiful green chenille blanket that is so luxurious and soft, I just can't wait to show it off when the temperature starts dropping.
I also love the orange and black striped Halloween blanket I got from Target some years ago. The second I bring it out of the closet, my mood picks up and I start dreaming of all things Halloween.
@piratemptress, I saw these blankets at a local Indigo store here in Vancouver a couple of days ago. http://www.chapters.indigo.ca/.
You might want to get in touch with them, see if they will ship to you.
That first one looks similar to those vintage bus rolls.
Cascadiance is right, they're all over the Indigo/Chapters chain. I've seen them in the light/dark grey color as well as a light beige/cream combo.
Throws are a great way to bring color to a couch or the foot of a bed. They are also the only thing that makes it possible for my cold-blooded self to stay married to my hot-blooded husband, who keeps the windows cracked year-round.

I'm with a poster above - have too many throw blankets to know what to do with. Luckily they can double as cushions for less comfy chairs.
