In true MTA form, we stopped by this booth to transfer our card balance but couldn't find an attendant. But we did find something else...

We were able to snap a few pics before an attendant reappeared. This cool garland is made from expired metro cards. (In New York, you can slide an expired card into a bin for the MTA to collect reuse, though usually not in this form!)
