Since it is Outdoors Month here at Apartment Therapy we thought we'd kick off our coverage of Metropolitan Home's Modern by Design show house with Surfacedesign's sunny rooftop deck...

Situated off of the upstairs loft, it was a happy coincidence that Surfacedesign's deck uses the same bright yellow and warm wood tones as Jay Jeffer's interior space (pictures to come). We'd be happy to spread a towel out on the deck and soak up the a bit of sun or lounge around on the comfy banquette-style seating with a glass of colorfully appropriate lemonade. Metropolitan Home's Modern by Design show home opens this Saturday, and tickets are $25 with proceeds benefiting the San Francisco Ballet. For more information, click here.
