Escape into the past. If you are a designer or voyeur AND like 70's design, you should check out this little treasure trove of 70's design put together by a fellow in the Netherlands.
This site is a remarkable collection of tons of images of interiors, cars, furniture, fashion and houses. (Thanks, Core77!) MGR

There was an exhibit in Mtl a few years ago at the Galerie D'Art Contemporaire that was all about 60's design. That room from that last shot (multi-coloured, foam, lounge room) was actually in the exhibit (it's a freestanding cube), and it was all I could do to keep myself from jumping right into the exhibit. I seriously contemplated what they would really do to me... it might have been worth it.
Laugh all you want people, but funky colorful patterns are coming back into style. I'll bet horse stall kitchens are next. Fugly is the new black.
HA HA! Oh, that took me back. My aunt and uncle had a circular sunken living room (with mirrored walls) in the '70s. Until the marijuana hydroponic system in the crawlspace caught on fire and burned it up. *ahem*
oh! that bottom room is that Pantone room. it was or IS still a part of the 60's Psychedelic exhibit up at the Whitney.
you could go romp around in there, and i won't lie, i want a room like that for my home. the audio tour specified the song to play while being in the room was Iron Butterfly's Inna Gada Davida.
