A while back, Gregory posted about a pair of shutters that were DIY'd to cover up a bulletin board. We loved the idea and recently found another blogger's version of this crafty idea.

We're really digging the large size of these shutters--instant focal point to an entryway.
Spray painting the shutters a rich, dark brown, Jennifer secured them to the wall. After covering the corkboard with a painter's drop cloth, she then tacked up all the bits of paper that used to hang on the fridge.

Knobs found at a hobby shop on sale.

I think this is a great idea for those of us who don't have a home office area and dislike the clutter of calendars, notes, appointments, etc. being on display right out in a main living area.
Good idea! I might try this myself.
