Over the weekend we combed through the Rose Bowl reacquainting ourselves with what's out there and also to spark some inspiration, after all it totally worked for Rebecca! Well, it might have had to do with our partner in crime*, but we couldn't help thinking about setting up a little bar at home for entertaining. We've been meaning to have people over more often and love the idea of a dedicated area for a bar:
The image up top is from Coco + Kelley's flickr page and shows just how simple a bar set up can be. A couple of great vintage finds for glasses and decanters for booze and a cleared credenza top or counter and you're set. Plus if you choose your signature cocktail you can keep the ingredients you need on hand all the time. Don't invest in stocking an entire bar (which would be very cost prohibitive for most of us) just keep some favorites on hand and if you cruise flea markets and swap meets you can find some great classic accessories that will give your bar some style without breaking the bank.
*Our partner in crime was none other than this guy who knows his way around a flea market and can spot the diamond in the rough a mile away. We'll post more about this later in the week!
