We absolutely love these. They're so much fun! And guess what? They're in a school (well, it is a skateboarding school...)!
And yes, since the photos have been taken a handrail has been installed (it's to code now!). Says the designer: This is a set of steps I made for our skateboard school. The aluminium beam is a solid billet of aluminium and the decks were custom made with concave only on one edge. You should see the look on our students faces when they make the treck to the basement.
Isn't it great? We'd love to go to this school.

I love them, and have a couple of blank skateboard decks that I use for a landing strip as well as a tiered skelf on BluDot paperclip desk.
Thanks for the second post, it was nice to get the actual story on these.
